Protest the Arch!
The Park Service has opened a very short window for citizens to comment on the proposed Memorial Arch. Comments are due by June 18. Please join us in sending in your comment - the Arch is the worst idea yet. Timing is important.
Today the Administration said “the project should not be halted because it has not officially begun”.
But construction is projected to start in 24 days. Unbelievable gobbledegook.
In order the preserve the character of the city, Washington has 130 foot height limits The Arch will be 250 feet high with huge golden eagles on top. It is astonishingly ugly.
The administration has declined to include a half dozen historic preservation and advocacy groups in a federally required consultation process. In the last few months these organizations have sued the administration over plans for the ballroom room, the reflecting pool, and other Trump vanity projects.
Please fill out the Park Service form ASAP. The process for protesting is laid out in the attached memo from Mallory Walker. If citizens do not not protest the Arch project will almost certainly go ahead.
Thank you! Wren and Tim.

Subject: Protest "The Triumphal Arch"
Friends- I hope you will object to the building of “The Triumphal Arch” in Arlington, VA
The National Park Service is taking comments on their website. The link is https://parkplanning.nps.gov/documentsOpenForReview.cfm?projectID=136973&parkID=186
Share the link with your friends and ask them to write as well. It is impossible to guess what effect comments may have but inaction means it will clearly get built.

Below was my entry. Not artfully written but it does the job.
